Pneumatic Forklifts Training BC - Pneumatic lift trucks are generally known as pallet vehicles or pump trucks and are extensively used in warehouses and shipping plants to transfer materials on pallets. Pneumatic lifts comprises a pair of metallic blades installed on a wheeled counterbalance that has a pump. The pump is used to lift and lower the blades.

It is imperative to visually check the pallet vehicle prior to loading any supplies and to make certain the handles move fluently, the pallet vehicle turns appropriately, and the jack is free of any would-be obstructions. Inspect the load to make sure that there will be minimal opportunities for anything to drop off during lifting and transport. Release any air in the pump and let down the blades to the ground by squeezing the lever mounted on the inside of the metal ring on the end of the lever. Slide the blades into the slots in the pallet and make sure the forks are centered so that the pallets’ mass is evenly dispersed.

Pump the pneumatic lift handle up and down to raise the blades from the floor. Stop pumping when the pallet is entirely off the floor as there is no need to raise it any higher or risk losing balance while turning. In order to shift the pallet, drag the handle behind you; you should not push it. There will be a large amount of momentum present. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and don't stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a rest where you would like to park it. Squeeze the handle inside the handle end to restore the forks to the ground. Extract the blades from the pallet and return the pallet truck to its designated parking spot.
